About us

A 22-person shop that never took on more work than it could staff.

Tom Ferris started the company out of a one-bay garage on Foundry Street in 1998, framing additions on weekends. The rule then is the rule now: one lead carpenter per job, and we don't sell a start date we can't hold.

Nine of our carpenters have been here over a decade. That's why the person who quotes your project is usually still standing in your kitchen on week five.

What we won't do

Short list, honestly kept

  • No door-knocking, no storm chasing, no pressure closes.
  • No subcontractor we haven't worked with for three years.
  • No change order without your signature first.
  • No final invoice until your punch list is empty.
  • No job we can't staff with our own lead.
